       The Macro

   The Macro was designed as a full-sized version of the Micro.  I like the Micro's sleek design, but because of it's diminutive size, it does not suit everybody.  Another goal with this guitar was to have a full-size instrument that would retain the weight of the smaller Micro guitar (under 6 lbs.).

  The main constructional difference between the Macro and the Standard apart from it's obvious difference in design, is that the Macro is a neck-thru and the Standard is a set-neck.  This  gives the guitar a slightly different sound character.  

  The Macro shown here is build with a lightweight Philippine  Mahogany body and neck with graphite reinforcements and a curly Maple top.  It has a dark Indian Rosewood fingerboard and head veneer.   Pickups are Kent Armstrong Humbuckers, and I've used a TonePros wrap-around bridge.

 Macro Blueburst    

  This guitar came out looking rather nice with a blueburst over a tight curly Maple top.  This is a regular Macro with a Honduras Mahogany body and neck and a dark South American Rosewood fingerboard.   
 
   I used Lindy Fralin P90s just for a change.  The gold  Wilkinson bridge and Gotoh tuners go very well with the blue finish.

                       Basic model		 Macro-Cherry Sunburst

  The Macro shown here is build with Honduras Mahogany and a curly Maple top.  It has a dark Rosewood fingerboard.   Pickups are Kent Armstrong P90s, and I've used a TonePros wraparound bridge.  It's a comfortable and well-balanced instrument, and it sounds great!

Macro - "Light"          
 
Here is the super light-weight version of the Macro
 
  The idea for this instrument was to get maximum sound with minimum weight.  I used Philippine Mahogany for the body and thru-neck, and a Western Maple for the top.  The neck was strengthened with graphite reinforcements which also eliminates dead spots on the neck.  The whole thing ended up weighing only 5 1/2 lbs!!
 
The tone and sustain are pretty amazing, and the DiMarzio virtual P90 pickups give it an extraordinary range of tone.  The green sunburst finish is rather reminiscent of the old Burns guitars.

Neck dimensions:
 Scale Length:  24 3/4 inches, 24 fret neck
 Width at nut:  1 11/16 inches, width at 24th fret:  2 1/4 inches.
Neck thickness at first fret:  .890 inches to .910 inches.  Thickness at 12th fret:  .990 inches to 1.000 inches.
General neck shape is based on a 50's Gibson  which is a 'C' shape at the body end tapering down to a slight
'V' shape at the nut end.
Neck/body joint:  Neck blends into body with no heel
Inlay options:  Standard vertical lines, pearl dots
