   The Valiant was my original single cutaway electric guitar, and it presents a modern slant on a traditional theme with its off-set contoured body and straight string-pull head stock.  All versions of this guitar (some of which are shown below) are now available as hand-built custom orders directly from Giffin Guitars.  The pictures below show some of the possibilities for this model, but the guitar can, as always, be ordered with different woods, control layout, hardware and finishes etc.  I'm happy to discuss any custom ideas you might have.

     Vikta 		 
 
    Borrowing the same outline as the Valiant, this guitar has a comfort contoured body with a flat top and no binding on the body or neck.  The P90 pickups on this model are hard-mounted into the body, and the controls are mounted on the pickguard.  It uses two volume controls and a master tone enabling the user to mix the volume levels between the two P90s.  The guitar has the same TonePros bridge and Sperzel tuners as the Valiant.

Any custom guitar ordered using parts and materials from this white box should fall within the basic model price (will not add to the price).  Any custom option from the silver box below will add to the price by the amount shown.

Neck:  Laminated Honduras Mahogany and Maple    
Body top:  S (standard) Figured Maple  (please check "The Wood pile" for examples of available wood)
Fingerboards: Rosewood or Ebony

(Please note that Black Limba (body and neck wood) is now a $150 upgrade, due to increased difficulty to obtain suitable material.)

Hardware:
 Tuners:   Sperzel
Bridge:  Wilkinson, TonePros, ABM or Pigtail, Schroeder
Pickups:  Amalfitano, Wolfetone, Lindy Fralin, Kent Armstrong, Razor, Gibson, Klein, Bare-Knuckle. 
Guitar controls: 1-volume, 1-tone (CTS or RS pots), 3-position pickup selector (Switchcraft)
Neck dimensions:
 Scale Length:  24 3/4 inches
 Width at nut:  1 11/16 inches, width at 22nd fret:  2 1/4 inches.
Neck thickness at first fret:  .890 inches to .910 inches.  Thickness at 12th fret:  .990 inches to 1.000 inches.
General neck shape is based on a 50's Gibson  which is a 'C' shape at the body end tapering down to a slight
'V' shape at the nut end.
Neck/body joint:  Neck joins body at 16th fret.  Heel is cut away to an unobtrusive but safe minimum
Inlay options:  Standard vertical lines, pearl dots (any other ideas, please call)

Body and neck wood:  White Limba (Korina) - Add $250,  Black Limba - Add $150

Neck material:  5-ply Curly or Bird's Eye Maple - Add $100

Body top materials available:  UG (upgrade) - UG+ (upgrade plus)  Maple - curly, quilt or Bird's eye.  Redwood burl, Redwood curl.   Figured Walnut, Curly Bubinga, Curly Koa,  - Add $125 - $450  (please check "The Wood Pile" for examples of available wood)

 Optional fingerboard inlays:    Snowflakes or Mother of pearl blocks - Add $100

Abalone Pearl binding: Guitar fully bound with multiple laminates and Abalone Pearl - Add $600,
